अर्थात करंट के बहने का वो मार्ग जिसमे विद्युत् की खपत होती है विद्युत् सर्किट

Close circuit
a circuit without interruption, providing a continuous path through which a current can flow.
वह परिपथ जहा बिना किसी अवरोध के करंट को बहाने का मार्ग मिल रहा है
Open circuit
a discontinuous circuit through which no current can flow.
वह परिपथ जहा करंट के बहाने में अवरोध हो रहा है ओपन सर्किट कहलाता है
Short circuit
short circuit, there is
no load. For many reasons, the wires in a circuit can find a short-cut,
bypassing the load (and other components). This causes the same voltage from
the cell to flow to the other end of the cell. When this happens the high
voltage causes the wires to heat up and catch fire.
Wires may loose their insulation and touch each other in the
circuit -
- There could be a fault (improper wiring) in a device
- Intentionally connecting both ends of a cell / battery with wires. This causes a massive drain of electricity and the battery looses its power in a very short time.
A short circuit can cause heating, melting of wires, harmful
smoke and smell, and blinding light

Series circuit
Series circuits
A series circuit is a circuit in which resistors are arranged in a chain, so the current has only one path to take. The current is the same through each resistor. The total resistance of the circuit is found by simply adding up the resistance values of the individual resistors:equivalent resistance of resistors in series : R = R1 + R2 + R3 + ...
With a 10 V battery, by V = I R the total current in the circuit is:
I = V / R = 10 / 20 = 0.5 A. The current through each resistor would be 0.5 A.
वह परिपथ जहा करंट का बहाने का एक ही मार्ग मिलता है और जिसमें करंट के एवरेज के हिसाब से रेसिस्टर या बल्ब लगाये जाते है जिस से कोई बल्ब फ्यूज न हो | सीरीज सर्किट कहलाती है | उदारण के लिए - घर में लगाये जाने वाली बल्ब के झालर सीरीज कनेक्शन में बनी होती है
Parallel circuit
A parallel circuit is a circuit in which the resistors are arranged with their heads connected together, and their tails connected together. The current in a parallel circuit breaks up, with some flowing along each parallel branch and re-combining when the branches meet again. The voltage across each resistor in parallel is the same.
The total resistance of a set of resistors in parallel is found by adding up the reciprocals of the resistance values, and then taking the reciprocal of the total:
equivalent resistance of resistors in parallel: 1 / R = 1 / R1 + 1 / R2 + 1 / R3 +...
A parallel circuit is shown in the diagram above. In this case the current supplied by the battery splits up, and the amount going through each resistor depends on the resistance. If the values of the three resistors are

The individual currents can also be found using I = V / R. The voltage across each resistor is 10 V, so:
I1 = 10 / 8 = 1.25 A
I2 = 10 / 8 = 1.25 A
I3=10 / 4 = 2.5 A
Note that the currents add together to 5A, the total current.
